Sulcata grow quite large and are very strong. This pen has 4"x4" posts sunk 10" and re-enforce with concrete. The slats are bolted on. Even with this they occasionally break loose. The picture were taken in the fall so there wasn't much vegetation. However even in the summer what ever sprouts is quickly mowed down by these eating machines
Following are pictures of a shed built for the torts. This belongs to Vicki Hale in Alabama. The shed has a ramp and special entrance so the torts can come and go as they need. (Click on the picture to view it full size.)
